A Biblioteca Escolar da EB Júlio Brandão recebeu vários exemplares das obras “Bicicletas e trotinetas. Sim ou não?” e “Mais Vale Prevenir do que Remediar“, de Ana Maria Magalhães e Isabel Alçada, publicadas pela Associação Portuguesa de Seguradores. 

Estes livros surgiram da necessidade de alertar os jovens leitores em relação a problemas complexos da atualidade. Os capítulos incluem histórias curtas, textos informativos e sugestões para reflexão e debate, que podem ser explorados em Cidadania e Desenvolvimento, no âmbito dos domínios “Segurança Rodoviária” e “Desenvolvimento Sustentável”.

Face à pertinência dos temas e das questões associadas, estes recursos podem, igualmente, ser uma eventual base de trabalho de futuros DAC, que envolvam as disciplinas de línguas, ciências, humanidades ou artes.
